Long before the name Zogex was ever uttered, Ethan dreamed of starting a video game studio with his friends, something he would unsuccessfully try to do under the name “Ecorproductions” in middle school. And long before that, he was just a kid with a laptop discovering that he could make my own games.
This a collection of games made by Ethan when he was a kid, somewhere between the ages of 10 and 14. While many of his old projects are gone and lost to time, a few of them survived thanks to internet archives! So without further ado, Ethan is proud to present, the Ecorproductions’ Classics Collection.

The Way of Adventure

The first game Ethan ever made! While incredibly rough and mostly placeholder assets, to a ten-year-old Ethan, this was the most incredible thing in the world. An idea was made tangible. Now that he knew this was possible, it didn’t take long for him to start working on the next project.
Space Mission

The start of an ambitious project: an anthology of games revolving around the Alien Control Personnel and their endeavors to battle hostile alien forces. In this first mission, a shoot-em up style game, you pilot a rocket on its way to destroy the moon after it has been overrun with aliens!
Note: This is one of the origins for Blindspot Eclipse!
Space Mission 2

After the failure of the first mission (spoilers oops), time passes and technology advances to teleport an ACP agent directly onto the moon base to deal with the threat. Space Mission 2 is a platformer taking the player through the destroyed moon base. Can you succeed in completing the mission started in the first game?
Note: This is one of the origins for Blindspot Eclipse!
Color Odyssey

While the previous entries were created so long ago that Ethan doesn’t remember much about creating them (he was 10 when he made Way of Adventure, and maybe 11 or 12 when he made Space Mission 1 & 2), he does remember making Color Odyssey. This was his first attempt at creating a full game experience. Pleasant background music (He distinctly remembers making a nice music rotation system for this), relatively more advanced enemy AI, and even a story intended to have some nuance!
Gray Matters

The title’s a bit on the nose, isn’t it? This game is the sequel to Color Odyssey, and is unfortunately quite incomplete, as are Ethan’s memories of what this game was going to be. The mechanics of requiring charges to both jump and move backwards was going to be a part of it, showing the reason that the Colorless were after the essences of color in the first place. Alas, the ideas behind this game have been lost to time and this is all that remains, which does illustrate the point of different viewpoints of a narrative being forgotten or overlooked funnily enough. I guess the Colorless’ story will never be told.
